Hazel Irvine a Scottish sports commentator for the BBC describes the Sri Lankan flag perfectly, appreciating the flag she says:
“That flag is one of the most beautiful in the parade features a golden lion holding a kastane sword with four leaves from a bodhi tree at each corner, in Buddhism the tree is associated with the path of enlightenment”
