Japanese scientists may have just found a way to slow aging from the inside out.
Researchers at Osaka University discovered that a protein called AP2A1 changes as we age, messing with how our cells function. But when they reduced it in older cells, those cells started acting young again.
Paired with a drug called IU1, which helps cells clean themselves out, this could be a major step toward slowing or even reversing parts of the aging process.
