Govt. vehicles for all MPs; no more permits

Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath stated that the Government plans to provide vehicles for all 225 Members of Parliament in the near future.
He clarified that Parliamentarians will no longer be granted permits to import vehicles.
He made these remarks in a television programme appearance on Monday (20).
Explaining the decision, Herath stated: “The Government will take steps to ensure that all MPs are provided with vehicles, eliminating the need for individual vehicle import permits.”(The Morning lk News)
