Sri Lanka Tourist Arrivals February 2023 – Data1977-2022 Historical

The number of foreign tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka rose 24.5 percent year-on-year to 102,545 in January 2023, amid peak travel season and resumed cruise tourism. Moreover, the sector was supported by increased connectivity to other countries as border restrictions eased further across various source markets. Europe accounted for the largest share of tourist visits (66.1 percent), followed by Asia and the Pacific Region (25.3 percent), the USA (6.4 percent), the Middle East (1.5 percent), and Africa (0.4 percent). On a monthly basis, tourist arrivals grew 11.5 percent.
