General Shavendra Silva, the 8th Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of Sri Lanka, will retire from his position and active service in the Sri Lanka Army on January 1, 2025.
General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, Chief of Defence Staff received a distinct farewell from the troops of the Gajaba Regiment, as one of the most distinguished members of the family of Keterians, on 29 December 2024.
